CCMA New & Emerging Technologies Work Group - Mission Statement
The aim of this group is to seek out new and emerging technologies in the Microscopy & Flow Cytometry areas for presentation & discussion at the next conference. Areas of technology may include software, reagents, or instrumentation. The aim of this group is to establish linkages between nodes and explore cross platform pipelines and technologies (i.e. imaging & flow cytometry, imaging & molecular biology, flow cytometry & molecular biology) for presentation and discussion at the next conference. This highly interdisciplinary group will work closely with v
endor partners, with the potential of creating core-vendor collaborations in these areas. Members of this group are encouraged to test these technologies and share their experiences whenever applicable. Members of this working group are also encouraged to reach out to vendors of these new technologies for sponsorship of the next conference.
CCMA Professional Careers for Shared Resource Labs Work Group - Mission Statement
High level shared resource lab (SRL) staff play a pivotal role in the implementation of new and increasingly complicated technology. Further, they are essential for advancing numerous research projects. Yet, the majority of Canadian research institutes do not have opportunities for career development or advancement for these important roles. The aim of this workgroup is to overcome this challenge.
CCMA Training the Trainers Work Group - Mission Statement
After initial training, there are few opportunities for advanced training for core facility staff. This workgroup will identify areas where this need exists and work with field experts to develop training opportunities (either virtually or for the CCMA meetings). These topics may relate to software, reagents, or instrumentation.
